园林学院前身是创办于1985年的园林系,2002年更名为园林与艺术学院, 2005年5月园林学院和艺术设计学院分开设立。学院下设园林、建工2个系,园林植物、园林规划、园林工程及管理、土木工程、建筑学等5个课程组;拥有园林综合、土木工程2个实验室及园林工程研究中心、风景园林规划设计、花卉盆景等3个研究所,1个学生创新中心,1个花卉苗木繁育基地。设有园林、土木工程、建筑学、园林艺术设计等4个专业及专业方向,其中园林为省级重点专业;城市规划与设计(含风景园林规划与设计)、园林植物与观赏园艺2个硕士点;城市规划与设计(含风景园林规划与设计)、园林植物与观赏园艺、土
木工程等3个学科,其中城市规划与设计(含风景园林规划与设计)为省级重点学科,园林植物与观赏园艺为校级重点学科。下辖园林设计院(具国家乙级园林设计资质和丙级建筑设计资质)、环境艺术工程公司(具二级园林施工资质)及环境艺术设计工作室等3个科技服务实体(同时也是学院自主的教学实习基地)。
学院现有教职工73人,其中教授8人;副教授13人,博士(含在读)14人,硕士(含在读)31人。近三年来,学院已承担各类科研项目60多项,发表论文100余篇,出版专著10多部,完成风景区、森林公园、公园、广场、居民区、校园、道路绿化等园林规划设计项目200余项,工程施工项目20余项,为经济建设和社会发展做出了贡献的同时,也增强了自身的办学实力,所培养的学生受到用人单位的好评,多年来毕业生就业率均在93%以上。

school of landscape architecture , came from landscape architecture department which was founded in 1985, was established in may, 2005. the landscape architecture school now includes three professions (landscape architecture, civil engineering and architecture), one professional direction (landscape architecture art design). the landscape architecture was the key profession in zhejiang province . there are three disciplines in the school: landscape architecture planning and design, garden plant & ornamental horticulture, civil engineering. the landscape architecture planning and design was the key discipline in zhejiang province , garden plant & ornamental horticulture was the key discipline in zhejiang forestry university . there are two comprehensive laboratories (landscape architecture, civil engineering) and three research institutes (landscape architecture planning institute, flower and potted landscape institute, landscape architecture engineering research center). in addition, the school offered 2 teaching bases: landscape architecture designing institute of zfu, environment & art engineering company of zfu.
at present, there are 65 teachers and staff, more than 22staff have senior title. 9 teachers and staff have doctor's degree, and about 60% teachers and staff have master's degree. in the last two years, teachers and staff had undertaken more than 30 research items and published over 100 academic papers and 8 monographs. furthermore, they have finished more than 200 planning and design projects (such as parks, public squares, residential areas, campus, scenic spots, highway and so on) and about 20 engineering projects, which not only dedicated to the country's economic construction and social development, but also enhanced the strength of the school.
